Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, 15 ounces
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp olive oil
For the sauce
  • cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F, or if you are using an air fryer, set it at 375F.
  2. Lightly press the moisture out of your tofu. Cube the tofu into 1x2’ pieces.
  3. Toss the tofu in the cornstarch until evenly coated, add the 1 tsp of oil to your air fryer or oven pan.
  4. Bake or air fry at 375F for 20 minutes. Flip the tofu and repeat for another 10-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  5. To make the sauce, combine the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and cornstarch and whisk together.
  6. In a skillet on medium heat, add the honey mixture, then the chili powder, coriander, and ginger and stir until combined. Continue to cook down the sauce for 2-3 minutes or until thick. Set the sauce to the side.
  7. Once the tofu is crispy, toss with the sauce and serve immediately!
