This frozen grape dessert is so simple and so good! Fresh ginger and sugar coat the outside of the grapes, making them sweet and crunchy. Plus, it really only takes minutes to make.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 cups red grapes
  • 1/4 cup turbinado sugar
  • 3 teaspoons freshly grated ginger, about a 1-inch knob of ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove

Instructions

  1. Wash your grapes and lightly shake them dry, leaving a bit of excess moisture on them. Add them to a large ziploc bag.
  2. In a small bowl, add the turbinado sugar, grated ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Use your fingers to mash this together until the ginger has fully mixed with the sugar, giving it the consistency of wet sand.
  3. Pour the sugar into the bag with the grapes. Seal the bag, press out any excess air, and give it a few gentle flips and shakes so the grapes get coated in the sugar.
  4. Transfer the bag to a surface where it can lay flat so no grapes are overlapping, then freeze for 5 hours up to overnight. Enjoy whenever!
