These date and walnut bites are the perfect snack when you're on the go and need a quick pick-me-up! They're so easy and mess-free, but pack a good amount of protein and are so addicting.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup (200g) pitted medjool dates
  • 1 cup (100g) raw walnuts
  • 1/2 (60g) cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 (35g) cup flax meal and chia seeds, If you can't find a combination bag, use 2 tablespoons of each
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Diamond Crystal kosher salt

Instructions 

  1. To a small food processor, add all the ingredients.
  2. Pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped and beginning to form a crumb or sand-like mixture, this will take a few minutes.
  3. Once the ingredients are well-combined, use your hands to mash and roll the ingredients into equal-sized balls. They should be about the size of 1-2 tablespoons each. This recipe yields usually between 8-10 balls.
  4. Roll tightly and store in the fridge. Serve whenever!
